1877, MARCH - Camp Huachuca is established near the Mexican border in Arizona Territory. Tombstone founder Ed Schieffelin is among the troops. The Army installation is known today as Fort Huachuca, situated near the town of Sierra Vista, eighteen miles west of Tombstone.

8th Annual Tombstone Wild West Days - March 18 & 19, 2017- The Annual Tombstone Wild West Days is a salute to the men and women of the Armed Forces. Activities include Street Entertainment on Saturday and Sunday, a USO Canteen Dance and a Parade on Saturday. The Tombstone Wild West Days is sponsored by the Wild West Detachment Marine Corps League and the Merchants of the City of Tombstone. All net proceeds will be donated to the United Services Organization (USO) to support our military at home and overseas.

Tombstone Rose Festival - April 7 - 9, 2017- See the "Softer Side of Tombstone's History". The festival starts on Friday evening at 6 pm with the crowning of the Rose Queen and her court under the 9,000 square foot Rose Tree. The public is invited to attend.
Saturday activities include an old fashioned lunch box auction, Rose Tree parade, Mariachi street music /dance, and additional activities. It promises to be a fun-filled weekend for the whole family.
