1880, April - New Hampshire resident Joseph Tasker, together with Jacob Hoke establish a liquor and general merchandise store in Tombstone. Hoke soon abandons the relationship and is replaced with George Pridham. The two open a grocery store and produce market on the corner of Allen and Fifth Street, presently the site of the Longhorn Restaurant.

TOMBSTONE Rose Tree Festival - April 8, 9, 10, 2016 -  This year we celebrate the 131st blooming of the World's Largest Rose Tree. See the Softer Side of Tombstone's History. The festival begins on Friday evening at 6:00pm with the Coronation of the Rose Queen and her court.

On Saturday you will enjoy a Pancake Breakfast, Mariachi street entertainment, and an old fashioned Lunch Box/Gift Basket Auction. 

Sunday will feature Tombstone's Non-Profit groups in the City Park, Pet Parade, Tombstone Vigilette's Fashion show, Tombstone Vigilante's Skits on Allen Street, Music and more! The public is invited to participate in these activities. It should be a fun-filled weekend for the entire family.

TOMBSTONE at Twilight - April 23, 2016 - The Theme is EARTH DAY. Enjoy an evening of shopping and entertainment in historic Tombstone Arizona! This monthly event takes place the 4th Saturday evening of each month where you can shop, dine and be entertained. Shops will stay open late and there will be Street Entertainment, featuring the Blood at Dusk Gunfighters. Shopping will get you an extra treat in the form of a raffle ticket. For every purchase you make after 5:00 p.m. you will receive a ticket for one of three raffle prizes during the evening.
